On March 23, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E Mr. Chen Hai met with Myanmar Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe in Nay Pyi Taw. Ambassador Chen Hai introduced the recently held CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting. He said that at the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative as a Chinese approach to advancing humanity's modernization process and the progress of human civilization. China and Myanmar have already cooperated in the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative. China is willing to practice the Global Civilization Initiative with Myanmar to promote the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future and advance the human civilization.

U Than Swe spoke highly of the Global Civilization Initiative and said that Myanmar would actively support relevant initiatives and is willing to go deep in cultural exchanges and mutual learning with China, while implementing the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative together with China, to implement the spirit of the Global Civilization Initiative.
