On 16 May, H.E. Mr Hong Liang, Chinese Ambassador in Myanmar and Madame Wang Xuehong paid a farewell call upon H.E. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of Myanmar, in Nay Pyi Taw.

        State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi spoke highly of Ambassador Hong's work in promoting friendly relations between the two countries and the sound momentum of development of China-Myanmar Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in recent years. Ambassador Hong thanked State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi for her support rendered to him and the work done by the Chinese Embassy, and expressed his willingness to continue to contribute to China-Myanmar friendship on his new post.
