Bilateral Economic & Trade Relations and Economic & Technical Cooperation

Recent years have witnessed the great progress of economic and trade cooperation between China and Myanmar with fields of cooperation expanding from simply trade and commercial aids to contracted projects, investment and multi-lateral cooperation. Statistics show that by the end of year 2011, the amount of agreement investment by Chinese enterprises in Myanmar has reached USD 20.2 billion. Large increase also appears in bilateral trade volume with USD 15.27 billion in 2010 to USD 18.15 billion in 2011, according to figures of China's customs. China is the largest investor and trading partner of Myanmar.
